Week 10 Dynasty Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Targets

3 min read

Nick Foles, JAX, QB: Less Than 5% Owned

Waiver Wire Priority: Low
FAAB Budget Recommendation: 0%

So far, we’ve been hitting pay-dirt when it comes to grabbing those dynasty fliers at the quarterback position. Before his bye, Matt Schaub (from the week 8 write-up) put up a very serviceable game throwing for 460 yards and a touchdown. Let’s hope we get the same or similar from Nick Foles. Nick foles was having a pretty good game before he went down with an injury versus Kansas City. Gardner Minshew played like a rookie in their most recent game against the Texans this past Sunday which opens up the way for Foles. This bye week should help firmly set who the QB will be after their bye, but a lot of people believe it will be Foles with the playoffs not out of reach just yet. This is the perfect time to snag Foles with the bye week coming up this week.

Kalen Ballage + rookies, MIA, RB: Less than 10% Owned

Waiver Wire Priority: Low
FAAB Budget Recommendation: 5-7%

Let me start by saying I used to love Kalen Ballage, only second to my unfailing love for Eric Ebron. However, my love has since waned and I’ve fallen completely off the Ballage train. This is an add for a big stopgap and there are no other options. I’m not someone who wants a piece of RB on the Dolphins unless I absolutely have to. With Mark Walton being suspended for 4 games, Ballage will be the hot pickup which is why I also suggest taking a swing on the rookies in that backfield. Those rooks are Patrick Laird out of Cal and Myles Gaskin out of Washington. Gaskin has a similar build to Walton and Laird is a really good pass catcher so it’ll be interesting to see how Miami deploys them. Those guys are a hold and see. There’s enough gametime to sort of sniff out their usage and start them if needed.

Allen Hurns, MIA, WR: Less than 1% Owned

Waiver Wire Priority: Low
FAAB Budget Recommendation: 0%

MY sincerest apologies as I lobby for yet another Dolphin on your rosters, but let’s face it. You need some type of replacement level receiver and Hurns could and should be that one. Preston Williams was a revelation for Miami but now he’s done for the season and someone has to step up. Allen Hurns can fit that role. Devante Parker is already going to get his looks, but Hurns has been the next best productive receiver after Williams and Parker. Go get him for free, it can’t hurt. I still believe in Hurns and so should you.

Tim Patrick, DEN, WR: Less than 1% Owned

Waiver Wire Priority: Low
FAAB Budget Recommendation: 0-5%

Designated for return from IR, Tim Patrick is another one that is very easily snuck off the waiver wire for no FAAB dollars. DaeSean Hamilton hasn’t really impressed thus far and Patrick was even with him last year. Patrick gives the Broncos another big bodied receiver with good hands for the ball. Sources say he’s trying to get back for the game vs Minnesota in week 11. If you’re willing to wait to improve your roster depth, this guy is perfect.
